Message from Kids - Parenting
This is in response to Rob's message about what the kids at the therapeutic wildnerness program had to say. I sent my son to one over the summer several years ago. He had just completed sixth grade. The early intervention really helped him and without it I have questions as to whether he would have been able to continue to live at home and go to the local public school. The extreme environmental conditions coupled with a supportive/therapeutic environment creates a new way for the child to relate to himself and those around him - and in a very short time. The program also supports parents in learning new ways to deal with your child. Rob - thanks for your comment. It reminded me of the positive results that I had experienced. Fondly, Sara
