Rights

Both parents and adult child have rights. The adult child has the right to decide that the parent's opinions and requirements are not what they want to be subjected to. But the parents have their values and of course the control over their home. As the child was subject to the parents when he were under age so is he still while he is in his parents home. If he doesn't like the situation then he has the right to leave.
