Illogic

I think that you have inteligence and curiosity confused with maturity and life experience. We need to guide our children until they have aquired the second set of characteristics. We do that by setting a good example, establishing family values that are consistant and reasonable (not to mention moral and good). When we treat our children with real love and acceptance but consistantly uphold the values that they are being taught, hopefully they will know what will happen if they rebell.
